By its morbidity and mortality arterial hypertension occupies a leading place among diseases of the adult population. Objective: to study the prevalence and gender structure of arterial hypertension in children of the Grodno region. Material and methods. A retrospective analysis of the statistical data from regional health care annual reports for the period from 2014 to 2018 was performed. Results. Тhe prevalence of newly diagnosed cases of arterial hypertension in children remained stable during the 5-year follow-up period, and male children dominated in the gender structure – 74.73%. Conclusions. In order to develop measures to improve the health of children with arterial hypertension, early population detection of this medical condition both among males and females is necessary.http://journal-grsmu.by/index.php/ojs/article/view/2409arterial hypertensionprevalencesexchildren
