The study included 06 nurses, 07 teachers and 01 pedagogical coordinator. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview and the analysis was attained by the technique of Content Analysis, according to Bardin. It was noticed that health professionals point out that intersectoriality involves many sectors of society, allying planning and goals to meet the health needs of the population. The education sector respondents, however, have not conceptualized the term appropriately, centralizing the intersectoriality only between the health and education sectors, thus demonstrating a weakness related to the theme, reduncing it to the visits of the professional of the Family Health Unit to the school enrolled area. Therefore, there is the need for intersectoral actions involving beyond the sectors of education and health, primary sectors for the success of public policies, such as the Social Assistance and Public Security. http://www.uesb.br/revista/rsc/v10/v10n4a06.pdfIntersectoral Action;Health Promotion;Public Health;
