Summary: | The purpose of this paper is to determine the impact of using ferro-oil with 2% or 8% concentration of the magnetic particles as the lubricant of the slide journal bearing on its operating parameters regarding the reliability aspect. There has been presented an analytical and numerical calculation model based on experimentally determined physical quantities describing the dependence of viscosity of ferro-oil on fundamental parameters in the paper. Numerical calculations were performed by solving the Reynold’s type equation using the finite difference method using Mathcad 15 and own calculation procedures. |
