Thereunto, it indicated through a historical bias, the educational policies field in Brazil and the use of Gramsci theoretical base, mainly the use of the Categories State and hegemony. Then, it discussed the concept of State in Gramsci and finally problematized the concept of hegemony in its relation with the State. It also considered, according some authors (Lustosa, 2016; Schelesener, 2014), there were misconceptions on the Category State by the Gramsci theory in Brazil.
