Description
Summary:The possibility of creating highly entropic carbide and oxide nanocoatings on superhard material Cortinitis based on hafnium, zircon, molybdenum, tungsten, yttrium and nickel was investigated. An investigation was made of the production of nitride, carbide, boride and oxide coatings and nitrides, carbides, borides and oxides directly in the body of the material at ion energies in the range from 200 to 2·104 eV with charge numbers from 1 to 3. Important characteristics were obtained: the grain volume for all the ions and nitrogen, carbon, boron and oxygen ions listed and their depth, which allows us to evaluate the layers of nanostructures or submicrostructures that can be formed by these high-entropy coatings. Moreover, it is shown that it is possible to avoid the production of intermetallic compounds due to the high mobility of nitrogen ions.
