Description
Summary:The paper is devoted to analysing German historians‘ evaluations of economic and social policies in the period of Nazi Germany. The author traces the evolution of the scientists‘ views on the economy and social relations in the conditions of a totalitarian regime. Historiography provides more assessments of the link between economic and social development and the political objectives of Hitler‘s power. The historiographic trend towards finding the historical continuity of economic and social policies is identified, which is important for understanding the emergence of the welfare state in the twentieth-century Germany.
