In this concept, the existence of certain industrial waste can be utilized again as raw material for other industries. This paper presents the results of research on the utilization of waste from the industrial process of making natural dyes indigo paste batik (Strobilanthes cusia) in the indigo paste industry, for the manufacture of organic liquid fertilizer through composting by adding EM-4 (Effective Microorganism-4) as bioactivator. The method used is anaerobic and aerobic composting. From physical observations it is known that the aerobic composting process is faster than the anaerobic process. While the results of laboratory tests on macro elements in organic liquid fertilizers, namely Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P2O2), and Potassium (K2O) values obtained respectively 0.11 percent, 8.47 ppm, and 556.30 mg per liter for anaerobic processes and 0.16 percent, 8.49 ppm, and 2137 mg per liter for aerobic processes. It can be concluded that the quality of organic liquid fertilizer from the utilization of residual waste making indigo batik natural dyes has met the specified standards in accordance with Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 02 / Pert / HK.060 / 2/2006 concerning Organic Fertilizers and Soil Enhancers. http://e-journal.janabadra.ac.id/index.php/JA/article/view/969/648liquid organic fertilizercompostingem-4 (effective microorganism-4) |
