The study is based on a comparative analysis of three texts: Prolope’s critical edition as a canonical reference (Presotto 2007), the text edited by J.E. Hartzenbusch in 1859, which is based on the printed play in Novena Parte (1617) which Lorca used as starting point, and finally Lorca’s adapted text (Aguilera Sastre and Lizarraga Vizcarra 2001). The analysis of these texts will show Lorca’s dramaturgy and will allow to connect his personal reading of La dama boba (defined by its farcical and musical character) with the European avant-garde drama of the early 20th century.
https://revistes.uab.cat/anuariolopedevega/article/view/146lope de vegafederico garcía lorca«la dama boba»dramaturgiavanguardiafarsa.
