Morbidobesity is a systemic disease affecting different organs and systems, mainly the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, including alsothe upper respiratory airways becoming as it is quite importantto the anesthesiologist. The farmacology of drugs is also envolvedand will be focused particularly in this paper. We will provide majorinformation on the alterations in different organs and systems thatlead to risk factors and their possible influence on anesthesia, allowing the anesthesiologist to plan a more safe and specifictype of anesthesia.http://www.einstein.br/revista/arquivos/PDF/104-73-83.pdfObesityAnaesthesiaPulmonary mechanicsCardiovascular phsiologyDexmedetomidine/pharmacokinetics
