Phenomenon of Webometrics Activity of Regional Libraries in Ukraine

On the basis of study of Ukraine regional libraries web resources, the cognitive map of development and influence of the information flow, and its interaction with the surrounding Internet space is presented. Effective methods of library web resources analysis have been identified and the specifics of libraries in the web space have been summarized. It is identified how libraries use web resources with identification of specifics of work in them. The main focus of the study is the search for the necessary analytical tool based on statistical data, which would include all information characteristics of the development of web resources of libraries. It is determined that the basis is a tool for studying hyperlinks, organic traffic and determining the rating of domain and web pages based on Ahrefs. The main indicators of the quality of the web resource are defined: Alexa Rank, which reflects popularity on the Internet by visiting the pages of the site with unique IP addresses of users. The following indicators are also defined as additional important characteristics: domain rating, domain page rating, ranking of the site by the number of organic words on the first ten pages of search engines and total organic traffic to the site on key requests. Regional libraries of Ukraine were selected for the study and structured according to the rating of popularity of the attendance resource and the rating of hypertext mass. It is justified that regional universal scientific libraries of Ukraine require strategic development in the Internet space. Prospects for the development of library representation in the interactive Internet space have been identified and justified. Recommendations for improvement of library representation in the Internet environment are offered.
