Description
Summary:This article is framed in the ongoing research project "Psychosis in the Social Bond" at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina). Its objective is to contribute to the knowledge regarding different modalities of social insertion of patients diagnosed as psychotic. To this effect, the case of Louis Althusser was taken as unit of analysis, in an attempt to elucidate the different ways of creating bonds and the diverse answers provided by the philosopher to the return of what he deems horrendous. The paper develops one of the arrangements invented by Althusser to face the real: his obsession for the availability of standing reserves.
