Serbskiy State Research Center of Social and Forensic Psychiatry, Moscow, Russia, lyubov.demidova@gmail.comPhD (Psychology), Associate Professor, Dean of the Department of Juridical Psychology, Moscow State University of Psychology & Education, Moscow, Russia, dvorian@gmail.com We discuss the basic typological and integrative theoretical models that explain the occurrence of child sexual abuse and the differences detected among the perpetrators of crimes against sexual integrity of minors. A comprehensive review of the theoretical concepts of sexual abuse in our country, in fact has not been carried out, and in this paper for the first time we made such an attempt. It is shown that the existing notions of sexual abuse largely overlap each other, but each of the models somehow takes into account the factors not explicitly addressed in other concepts. Systematic consideration of the theoretical models of sexual abuse can generalize and systematize the available data on the mechanisms of pedophile behavior. This review provides an opportunity to develop a new benchmark in the study of sexual abuse, get closer to building the most accurate and comprehensive model. In turn, this may contribute to solving the questions about the factors, dynamics, and the prevention of criminal sexual conduct against childrenhttp://psyedu.ru/files/articles/psyedu_ru_2014_3_Demidova_Dvoryanchikov.pdfsexual abusepedophiliasexual crime
