Sleeping Beauty transposase structure allows rational design of hyperactive variants for genetic engineering
Sleeping Beauty is used as a genome engineering tool in a range of organisms. Here, the authors solve an atomic structure of Sleeping Beauty (SB) transposase and model the target DNA into the active site, elucidating details that may enable the rational design of novel transposases.
