The author describes how this theory is applied in various branches of scientific knowledge. Various interpretations of institutional matrices are described, with the help of which one can most clearly demonstrate the continuity in institutional transformations. With the help of institutional matrices, an analysis of institutional changes in the Russian state from the 90s of the twentieth century to the present is carried out. Based on the analysis, the author concludes that the institutional transformation process is primarily influenced by the institutional matrix inherent in the state, as well as the configuration of the actors and the strategies chosen by them.https://www.acjournal.ru/jour/article/view/1027path dependencedependence on previous developmentinstitutional matrixtransplantation of institutionsformal institutionsinformal institutions
