Description
Summary:With the advantages provided by geographic features, the Black Sea region has a very rich flora in terms of biodiversity. Orchidaceae family has a special place in our region. The Middle Black Sea Region (Tokat, Amasya, Samsun, Çorum provinces) where the research was conducted, most variety of plants in the pharmaceutical-aromatic plant species belongs to the Orchidaceae family. Depending on the species richness, it is determined that 50 tons of annual salep tubers are collected in the region. In this study, field trips were made in 4 provinces and the species of salep collected for the tuber were determined. Tuber yields per plant were determined. In addition, various measures were taken to reduce collection pressure. İn our region, it was found that there were 32 species of orchid species. 18 species that are commonly seen from such species were taken and rare species were not touched. When one kilogram of dry salep is desired to be obtained, it has been determined that the species need to be collected from 525 - 3139 plants depending on the size and dry matter ratios of the species.
