Kosic was an educated economist and has written noticeably on economic issues. The author's main conclusions are the following: (1) Kosić belonged to the Younger Historical School of economics since he believed in the necessity of accentuating the moral element in economic study, (2) he wrote primarily on the most global issues (choice of political and social system, social justice, history of economic doctrines), so his economic work to a large extent belongs to political philosophy and (3) his affection was, at least in his younger years, turned towards the 'third way', social reformism that would lead to a non-Marxist type of socialism, although he remained quite vague on what a just society would actually look like, who would change the capitalist system and how it would be carried out.http://scindeks-clanci.ceon.rs/data/pdf/0085-6320/2012/0085-63201202163M.pdfeconomicssocietysocial questioncapitalismliberalismsocialismMirko Kosić
