The literature data about the dependence of the incidence and severity of cognitive impairment on the type of hypoglycemic therapy are analyzed. As well as the results of clinical and experimental studies concerning the peculiarities of cognitive functions against the background of using various antidiabetic agents — meglitinides, biguanides, thiazolidinediones, glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors, sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors and insulin. |
