In many cases they are symptomatic, need treatment, and occasionally surgical exploration.</p><p><strong>Objective</strong>: to characterize the patients with benign breast disorders treated at the "Guillermo Domínguez López" General Teaching Hospital of the municipality of Puerto Padre, Las Tunas, from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019.</p><p><strong>Methods</strong>: the study universe was made up of 110 patients who were operated on for benign breast disorders. The following variables were studied: age, sex, affected breast quadrant, biopsy modality, histological classification and surgical procedure.</p><p><strong>Results</strong>: there was a higher incidence in the 21 to 30 age group, with 31 patients (28,2 %). The feminine sex predominated, with 97 cases (88,2 %). The lesion was located in the upper outer quadrant in 42 patients (38,2 %) and in the right breast in 74 (67,3 %). 40 % of the tumors were fibroadenomas. For the histological study a combination of fine-needle aspiration biopsy and paraffin biopsy was performed in 60 % of the patients. Tumorectomy was the most used surgical procedure, in 74,5 % of the total number of patients.</p><p><strong>Conclusions</strong>: the patients with benign breast diseases were characterized. The fame sex prevailed. The right breast was the most affected one.
