Summary: | In the depth of political geography, partition has been mainly scrutinized by English-speaking political geographers. The suggested paper is showing the position of the concept within the history of political geography. The partition processes are looked into theoretical and epistemological reflections as well as into an attempt for classifying. Then, one concludes with the obvious inconsistency between the partitioning trends and the globalization weight. The EU appears to be the single case in the world of a political construction which is sublimating partition by means of integration. |
