Summary:Prolonged disorders of consciousness (pDOC) and its long rehabilitation process are difficult problems in clinical practice. This review mainly introduces the clinical characteristics of neurorehabilitation in patients with chronic disorders of consciousness, and summarizes the rehabilitation treatment techniques from the pathogenic pattern of pDOC, clinical manifestations, and particularity of consciousness recovery sequence, as well as common complications that may interfere with rehabilitation progress, and discusses the existing problems such as the formulation principles of rehabilitation programs, treatment intensity, and time arrangement
