Methods: A total of 92 cases each of tumor tissue, precancerous tissue and blood samples from patients who received radical operation of gastric cancer in our hospital from January 2012 to July 2014 were collected, PIK3CD expression levels in tumor tissue as well as values of indicators of malignancy osteopontin (OPN), CD44v6, E-cadherine (E-CD), osteoblast-specific factor-2 (OSF-2), pepsinogen Ⅰ(PGⅠ), carbohydrate antigen 72-4 (CA72-4), monoclonal gastric cancer 7 antigen (MG7Ag), micro RNA-21 (miR-21) and let-7a in serum were detected, and the correlation between PIK3CD expression level and values of indicators of malignancy was further analyzed. Results: PIK3CD expression levels in tumor tissue and paracancer tissue of Ⅳ stage patients were higher than those in corresponding parts of Ⅰ stage, Ⅱ stage and Ⅲ stage patients; serum OPN, CD44v6, E-CD and OSF-2 levels of Ⅳ stage gastric cancer patients were higher than those of Ⅰ stage, Ⅱ stage and Ⅲ stage patients; serum PGⅠ and let-7a levels of Ⅳ stage gastric cancer patients were lower than those of Ⅰ stage, ⅡⅡ stage and Ⅲ stage patients, and CA72-4, MG7Ag and miR-21 levels were higher than those of Ⅰ stage, Ⅱ stage and Ⅲ stage patients; PIK3CD expression level was directly proportional to OPN, CD44v6, E-CD, OSF-2, CA72-4, MG7Ag and miR-21 levels and inversely proportional to PGⅠ and let-7a levels. Conclusion: PIK3CD is highly expressed in gastric cancer tissue, PIK3CD expression has direct correlation with a number of indicators of malignancy, and it can be used as a sensitive index for assessing the condition of gastric cancer. http://www.hnykdxxb.com/PDF/201609/26.pdfGastric cancerClinicopathological stagingPIK3CDMalignancy
