Description
Summary:Comparison of strength values obtained from studies of glued fragments of semi-rigid covers, modified polymeric adhesive compositions based on polyvinyl acetate dispersion, revealed an increase in strength, depending on the weight proportionality of the substances used for modification, compared with glued without modification. Peculiarities of applying modified adhesive compositions on structural elements of semi-rigid covers are revealed, which testify to the absence of a significant increase in the thickness of the adhesive layer, which does not affect or change the contour geometry of the manufactured covers. The experimental polymer adhesive composition for the production of semi-rigid book and magazine covers is a dispersed system of finely ground modifiers in a bulk environment of polyvinyl acetate latex. Due to the reduction of the volume of the adhesive polymer coating system, when the modifiers swell in the PVA solvent, due to the interaction (solvation) of the modifiers with the PVA solvent, until the polymerization process is completed, a high structural density of mineral and organic modifier particles is provided. Which leads to the planned improvement in the strength and hardness of the composite structure throughout the planar and three-dimensional configuration of the semi-rigid cover. Experimental studies have shown that the adhesive mixtures used to modify the PVA dispersion did not affect the structural homogeneity of the bonded spatial structure of semi-rigid covers, and did not affect the appearance of external defects in the form of planar inhomogeneity or point thickenings of the cover surfaces. The obtained results of research of gluing of structural details of scans of semi-rigid covers, modified adhesive compositions, create additional opportunities in planning the use of consumables, in the manufacture of covers, to obtain strength, according to predetermined dimensional conditions of modifiers. Experimental studies have shown discreteness — growth, decline in dimensional strength of semi-rigid covers, glued with modified adhesive compositions, which contributes to the practical application of the results, both in the planning of technological processes and in the calculation of the cost of books.
