The volume addresses the form and function of film-related, practice-based research in the tertiary institutions of Anglophone education systems at this time. The evolution of the phenomenon of practice-based doctoral research in many colleges has begun to open the highest level of formal academic degrees to the more unpredictable interaction between art work and written text.
