Summary:Literature review on the results of clinical studies of the condition of bone mineral density (BMD) in patients with breast cancer (BC) is represented. Evidence of significant change in BMD in patients with breast cancer after adjuvant chemotherapy and hormonal treatment are given. Meaning of menopausal status, hormone therapy options on the state of BMD in patients with breast cancer were reflected. Effectiveness of bisphosphonates for the prevention of reduction of BMD in patients with breast cancer was shown. Data on more effective immediate bisphosphonates against delayed administration were presented. Current algorithms bisphosphonates in patients with breast cancer to prevent decline BMD were reflected.
