| Summary: | In recent years, the world's energy requirement has shown a significant increase. Accordingly, there is a growing interest in scientific researching of clean and sustainable energy resources. The existing of energy resource alone is not enough but also the energy resource parameters such as capacity, adaptation to the environment, economical factors and continuity have to be considered. The concepts of “sustainability” and “renewable” are gaining importance considering these parameters. In this study, firstly the sustainability tools availability in literature is expressed in general. We tried to explain the sustainability tools based on indicators and index by giving example studies in literature and applied sample analysis in conditions of Turkey and then sustainability of some renewable energy resources is mentioned in global manner by using indicators and index and finally, suggestions about sustainability of energy resources were made |
