Summary:We present the case of a 57-old-year male patient with a past medical history of hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus, who presented to the surgical emergency department of the "Guillermo Domínguez López" General Teaching Hospital of the municipality of Puerto Padre, Las Tunas. The patient stated that five days before he had scratched a lesion in the back and from then on he noticed a volume growth, pain, burning, flush, fever and general malaise. On physical examination a volume growth in the region with a diameter of 20 cm was revealed, with multiple postulant orifices with hardened borders and a fluctuating center. The patient was admitted and emergency investigations were ordered. After 12 hours the patient was operated on with a crucial incision of the lesion, debridement and lining lifting. Gauze compresses with antibiotic cream were left. After ten days of surgery the wall was closed. Follow-up was appointed and at three months the patient was definitely discharged, with a total recovery and without the need to apply grafts.
