The patient stated that five days before he had scratched a lesion in the back and from then on he noticed a volume growth, pain, burning, flush, fever and general malaise. On physical examination a volume growth in the region with a diameter of 20 cm was revealed, with multiple postulant orifices with hardened borders and a fluctuating center. The patient was admitted and emergency investigations were ordered. After 12 hours the patient was operated on with a crucial incision of the lesion, debridement and lining lifting. Gauze compresses with antibiotic cream were left. After ten days of surgery the wall was closed. Follow-up was appointed and at three months the patient was definitely discharged, with a total recovery and without the need to apply grafts.http://revzoilomarinello.sld.cu/index.php/zmv/article/view/2621anthraxstaphylococcus aureusskin diseasessurgical procedures, operative |
