Summary:The paper analyses the re-conceptualization of the intermedial trope of computer generated images/VFX in recent 3D works/cinema scenes through several examples from art history, which are connected with. The obvious connections between art history and images are not conceived primarily as an embodiment of a painting, the introduction of the real into the image, but prove the reconstructive tendencies of contemporary post-postmodern art. The intellectual, the casual, or the obsessive interaction with art history shown by the new film culture, is already celebrated trough 3D computer generated art, focused to a consistently pictorialist cinematography.
