With CO2 emissions (and equivalents) in the order of 7.1 gigatonnes a year, Livestock Farming represents 14.5% of the world emissions of Greenhouse Gases from anthropic activities. Reduction of meat consumption, improvement of productivity and reduction of risks are presented as a strategy of avoiding or preventing damages. Brazilian Mechanisms adopted in Brazil are part of the solution.
