Summary:The discussion about sexuality in the context of education involves the practice of comprehensive projects that aim offer spaces for emancipatory reflections related to affective-sexual phenomena. From the informative scope to the problematization of sexuality and gender, sexual education is a discipline in contemporary evidence for its historical, political, social and human need. However, it is also a historical fact to confront the strong resistance, which continues even in the 21st century. In this context, this paper aims to investigate the perspectives of research in sexuality and education interface, presenting and discussing the profile of the national scientific articles published in the last five years. The method of systematic review and meta-analysis was used, which enables a detailed, comprehensive and relevant investigation on the phenomenon investigated. There were 47 articles chosen and categorized for discussion based on the thematic axes listed after reading the material found: (1) Theoretical Investigation; (2) Review of Knowledge Produced; (3) Family and Sexual Education; (4) The Look of the Professional; (5) The Student Dimension; (6) Sexuality and Educational Practice. This review made it possible to understand notorious reflexive, multidisciplinary, political, social, theoretical and practical advances in Sexual Education. However, there are horizons in which there is much to be done in order to reach the real and permanent inclusion of affective-sexual diversity in the educational environment and in society in general. The contemporary challenge is the formation and continuous formation, especially of the professionals of education and health whose praxis emerges in the contact with such aspects of the affectivesexual plurality. Making possible the promotion of delicate strategies for pertinent dialogues with the most different matrices of meanings of human experience, such as family, church, state and media.
