Summary:During the period from 2009 to the present day the rate of economic growth (an average increase of 1.4% over the last 7 years in the year against 12.2% a year for the past 7 years) has significantly slowed down in Armenia. The GDP in dollar terms up to 2015 inclusive did not manage to come back to pre-crisis level of 2008. Particularly disturbing were the numbers for 2015, when it would seem that the entry of Armenia into the EAEC should have created new opportunities for the expansion of export oriented towards markets of the countries of the Eurasian economic integration. What are then the main causes and consequences of the current stagnation?
