However, in many of the petrochemical applications, microporous structure imposes limitations on the diffusion of molecules of reactants and products and becomes a problem. Much research effort has been done in the synthesis of other zeolitic structures with wider micropores diameters or structures having mixed micro and mesoporous. In this study, an experimental design based on the Placket & Burman statistical method was done with the purpose of select variables that has the larger effects on the synthesis of zeolite of type faujasita (FAU-X) with low molar SiO2/Al2O3.
