Abstract The problem of non-demonstrability of randomness in a structure containing a succession of observations has been studied by A. Church, A. Turing, G. Chaitin, A. Kolmogorov, and P. Martin-Löf. The purpose of this study is to raise a formal objection to von Mises’ irregularity axiom and to put forward the possibility of bringing the concepts of random and demonstrable closer together from the consideration of dynamic processes with complex attractors.
