The resettlement plan plays a significant role in the reconstruction of urban areas in the post-war situation. This paper firstly review the literature on post-war resettlement process, then explore the resettlement strategy in the urban area of Khorram-Shahr as the most important war-torn city in Iran. The discussions are based on the results of a sequential mixed method (qualitative and quantitative) research exploring the persistent urban problems and local peoples' expectations in damaged neighbourhoods.
