| Summary: | Il saggio è concepito come una nuova lettura del monumento a Raffaello e Annibale Carracci nel Pantheon. Il testo, ripercorrendo la storia della fondazione raffaellesca, tenta, leggendo le fonti del diciassettesimo secolo, di raccontare l’intera storia della sua erezione in una nuova chiave, come già occasionalmente dichiarato in alcuni contributi. Inoltre, il saggio presta attenzione agli epitaffi funebri come genere letterario e non solo come fonte documentaria.
The essay is conceived as a new reading of the monument to Raphael and Annibale Carracci in the roman Pantheon. The text, retracing the history of the raphaelesque foundation, tries, by reading the sources of the seventeenth century, to tell the whole story of its erection in a new key, as already occasionally declared in some contributions. Moreover, the essay gives attention to the funeral epitaphs as a literary genre, and not only as a documentary source.
