Methods The thyroid cancer incidence data originated from Nangang District Cancer Registration of Harbin City which based on local population. The population data of each year was collected from census register of public security bureau. Crude incidence rate, age-standardized incidence rates by Chinese standard population(ASIRC) and by world standard population(ASIRW) were calculated. The incidence trend was analyzed by Joinpoint regression model. The annual percent change(APC) and average annual percent change(AAPC) were calculated. Results The average incidence of thyroid cancer was 5.09/105 (2.56/105 for male, 7.64/105 for female, respectively) in Nangang District of Harbin City from 1992 to 2013. The highest age-specific incidence occurred in the duration of age 45 to 49 for male (5.49/105), and that occurred in the duration of age 50 to 54 for female (17.33/105), respectively. The AAPC was 12.6% (t=3.9, P < 0.01), including 11.7% for female (t=5.1, P < 0.01) and 13.8% for male(t=6.4, P < 0.01), respectively. Conclusion With the increase of thyroid cancer incidence, especially it had been sharply rising from 2008, more attention should be paid to searching for thyroid cancer pathogenesis and avoiding over treatment.http://html.rhhz.net/ZLFZYJ/html/8578.2018.17.0819.htmthyroid cancerincidence rateannual percent changeincident trend
