Regulating effect of Vav1 and ADAM8 on the proliferation and invasion of cancer cells in gastric cancer

Objective: To investigate the regulating effect of Vav1 and ADAM8 on the proliferation and invasion of cancer cells in gastric cancer. Methods: A total of 98 patients with primary gastric cancer who were admitted to the hospital between March 2015 and May 2017 received radical operation for gastr...

Methods: A total of 98 patients with primary gastric cancer who were admitted to the hospital between March 2015 and May 2017 received radical operation for gastric cancer, and the gastric cancer lesions and adjacent normal tissue samples were collected during the operation. The differences in the expression of Vav1, ADAM8, cancer cell proliferation-related genes and cancer cell invasion-related genes in them were compared. Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation of Vav1 and ADAM8 gene expression with cancer cell viability in gastric cancer lesions. Results: Vav1 and ADAM8 mRNA expression in gastric cancer tissue were higher than those in adjacent tissue; proliferation-related genes EZH2, PIK3CD, Wnt10A and MTA1 mRNA expression were higher than those in adjacent tissue; invasion-related genes MDM2, RAGE and Tiam1 mRNA expression were higher than those in adjacent tissue whereas SOX7 mRNA expression was lower than that in adjacent tissue. The Pearson test showed that the Vav1 and ADAM8 gene expression in gastric cancer tissues were directly correlated with the expression of proliferation-related genes and invasionrelated genes. Conclusion: Vav1 and ADAM8 expression increase abnormally in gastric cancer and can positively regulate the proliferation and invasion activity of cancer cells.http://www.hnykdxxb.com/PDF/201803/23.pdf Gastric cancerVav1Adam8Proliferation geneInvasion gene
