Summary:The objective of this text is to expose the initial training of preschool teachers in the state of Tlaxcala, Mexico, emphasizing the educational, historical and sociopolitical context from which it emerged as well as the changes it has had over time to the present day. For this purpose, a review of official documents, research articles and historical archives was made, taking as a case study the Escuela Normal Preescolar "Profra. Francisca Madera Martínez” of Panotla, Tlaxcala, being the only institution in that state that for 40 years has been in charge of educating pre-school educators and educators.
