|a Business is a very important activity in a community and affect the lives of many people. Over the years, developments in the community has shown us various forms of businesses, from businesses in the form of exchange of goods through to international business. This descriptive study aimed to identify the basic practices of indigenous entrepreneurship by mechanics of rural areas around Kulaijaya and Benut, Pontian in advancing its business. To investigate this issue, six research questions that have been formed to determine whether mechanics of rural indigenous knowledge in improving the mechanical, systematic financial management, creating campaigns for clients, providing a suitable place, providing a good service to customers and the basic practices of entrepreneurship by business experience. The study sample used in this study were 28 mechanics in the rural indigenous around Kulaijaya and Benut, Pontian. The data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Frequency statistics, mean and standard deviation, and rank is used to report the data descriptively. The study found that providing an appropriate place is the key practices of indigenous rural mechanics in the development business. The study also found that the basic practices of indigenous entrepreneurship by mechanical business experience at high levels unless mechanic who has experience of dealing 1 to 3 years is still the basis of simple entrepreneurial practices in financial management systematically. In this regard, several recommendations were made and suggestions for further research.
