Maria da Comceiçao Andrade.pdf: 3785882 bytes, checksum: 48fdbe1db6e5d3593632b4166df46c98 (MD5) === Os municípios de Camaçari e Dias d’Ávila têm atraído, desde os anos 1970, empreendimentos industriais de capital intensivo e inovação tecnológica que provocaram a reestruturação territorial que se acelerou, durante a última década, em decorrência dos benefícios engendrados pela “guerra fiscal”. Tal reestruturação logrou flexibilizar a economia baiana com a diversificação produtiva orientada para para bens de consumo final dotados de maior valor adicionado. Tal fenômeno alterou a estrutura do Pólo Industrial de Camaçari, cuja dinâmica espacial é comandada remotamente por atores econômicos exógenos que refuncionalizaram aqueles territórios municipais e incrementaram as atividades econômicas da Região Metropolitana de Salvador, conforme os seus próprios interesses. Fundamentandose no conceito de verticalidade e na categoria “território usado”, esta dissertação tem como alvo identificar as dinâmicas da reestruturação produtiva decorrentes dos empreendimentos industriais que resultaram em alterações sócio-espaciais materializadas nos territórios de Camaçari e Dias d’Ávila que, refuncionalizados por meio das redes de empresas transnacionais pautadas na produção flexível, estão articulados aos mercados globais. === ABSTRACT
The municipalities of Camaçari and Dias d’Ávila have attracted, since 1970s,
industrial enterprises of intensive capital and technological innovations tahat had
provoked the territorial reorganization that were accelerated, during the last decade,
due the benefits created by the “fiscal war”. This re-struturation provoked the
flexibilization the Bahia’s economy with a production diversification, oriented toward
the final consumption goods with bigger added value. This phenomenon changed the
Industrial Pole of Camaçari, that spatial dynamics are faraway commanded by
economic actors who, according to theirs interests, impose new functions to the
Metropolitan Region of Salvador. Grounded on the concept of “verticality” and the
category “used territory”, this dissertation aims to identify the resulted dynamics of
the productive restruturation provoked by new industrial enterprises, whose effects
are materialized on the social-spatial changes in the Camaçari and Dias d’Ávila’s’
territories that, refunctionalized by transnational networks companies based in the
flexible production. Thus the municipalities are articulated with the global markets.
