O processo constitutivo da Resolução de Problemas como uma temática da pesquisa em Educação Matemática: um inventário a partir de documentos dos ICMEs

Para tanto, adotou-se a estratégia de buscar em documentos (entendidos na pesquisa como CDs e livros: proceedings, de resumos de comunicações curtas e de pôsteres, de palestras selecionadas, de programação final e de publicações extras) produzidos em onze edições do International Congress on Mathematical Education (ICME), no período de 1969 (ICME-I) a 2008 (ICME-XI), por pesquisas cuja temática tenha sido Resolução de Problemas, compreendida como uma Metodologia. Assumida essa estratégia, o referencial teórico metodológico adotado considerou os modos de fazer história segundo perspectivas que, hoje, circunstanciam a pesquisa em História da Educação Matemática. A apresentação dessa produção se deu por meio de um inventário que, associado à teoria construída, permitiu responder às interrogações iniciais, bem como a questão norteadora da pesquisa, que se interessou por verificar como se deu o processo de inclusão da Resolução de Problemas como uma temática da pesquisa em Educação Matemática a partir de documentos dos ICMEs. A partir da investigação empreendida, foi possível identificar movimentos da Resolução de Problemas de maneira que só fez sentido concebê-la em processo de constituir-se e nunca constituída. Esse movimento foi esboçado em uma periodização da Resolução de Problemas, lida internacionalmente por meio dos ICMEs, distribuída em quatro fases: fase 1 - não foi tema de discussão no ICMEI; fase 2 - A Resolução de Problemas imerge no ICME-II; fase 3 - englobando os ICMEs-III (1976, Karlshure), ICME-IV (1976, Berkeley) e ICME-V (1980, Adelaide;), expressa uma natureza da Resolução de Problemas nos seguintes aspectos: incipiente, em relação à pesquisa de sala de aula; de continuidade, nos aspectos teórico ou prático; de... === The following research was interested in investigating Problem Solving as a subject of research in mathematics education from a historiographical standpoint. For our research the strategy adopted was to analyze documents (understood in the research to be CDs and books: proceedings, short communications and poster summaries of selected lectures, final programs and additional publications) produced in eleven events of the International Congress on Mathematical Education (ICME), from 1969 (ICME-I) to 2008 (ICME-XI), by surveys where the theme was Problem Solving understood as a Methodological. Once the research strategy was clear, the theoretical framework adopted considered the ways to make history according to perspectives that, today, mold the research in the History of Mathematics Education. The presentation of this production was given through an inventory which, coupled with the inbuilt theory, enabled us to respond to the questions first raised, and the main question of the research, which was interested in checking out how the process of including Problem Solving as a thematic research in Mathematics Education, from the documents produced in the ICMEs, was done. From the research undertaken it was possible to identify movements of Problem Solving so that it made sense to conceive of it as a theory that is always in the process of being set up and never made.
