Brevispira, H. Ovata e H. Sacarolha. Para tanto, incluímos neste estudo testes de polinização controlada, observação do crescimento do tubo polínico, estimativa da taxa de aborto e da razão p61en === Abstract: The reproductive biology of three species of the Helicteres (H. brevispira, H. ovata e H. sacarolha) was studied in its various aspects. Thus, experiment of controlled pollination was carried out, observation of pollen-tube development in the style and the abortion rate and the pollen/ovule ratios evalluated. The floral biology of these species was also studied with emphasis on the adaptative floral caracteristics and its relevance to the efficiency of the pollination mechanism of each species. Nectar production was estimated for each taxon. The fenology of these three Helicteres species was observed for, at least, one year. The fenological pattern of these species is probally related to the sazonality of the type of vegetation where they occur. H. Ovata grows at the edge of forest or in forest at an intermediate stage of successlon, H. Sacarolha is found in open "cerrado" while H. Brevispira at the edge of gallery forest transition to "cerrado"...
