Elementary functions had been considered the ones that follow: Polynomial Functions first and second degrees, Exponential Function, Logarithmic Function and Trigonometric Functions. It was analyzed of that it forms happen the contextualization and which the prerequisite mathematicians considered important for the professors. The investigative process was divides in three stages: in the first one, depositions of professors had been analyzed, in second, had been analyzed interviewed of students of these courses, that already have attended the class of Mathematics and that they had indicated which are the elementary functions for used them in you classes similar of the Mathematics and the third stage was the analysis of the official programs of class more cited, for the professors and students. Also the prerequisite ones of the mathematics contents had been analyzed which if they do necessary for the development of class similar. The gotten results confirm the content of functions as being very used in the development of these you class. Also the biggest deficiencies had been detected, on the part of the students, with relation to the prerequisite of contents of the Mathematics. === Este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar quais são as funções elementares utilizadas em disciplinas dos cursos de Administração de Empresas e Ciências Contábeis. Foram consideradas funções elementares: Funções Polinomiais do 1º e 2º graus, Função Exponencial, Função Logarítmica e Funções Trigonométricas. Analisou-se de que forma acontecem as contextualizações e quais os pré-requisitos matemáticos considerados importantes pelos professores. O processo investigativo foi divido em três etapas: na primeira, foram analisados depoimentos de professores, na segunda, foram analisadas entrevistas de alunos desses cursos, que já tinham cursado as disciplinas de Matemática, e a terceira etapa foi a análise dos programas oficiais das disciplinas mais citadas, pelos professores e alunos. Também foram analisados quais os pré-requisitos dos conteúdos de Matemática que se fazem necessários para o desenvolvimento das disciplinas afins. Os resultados obtidos confirmam que o conteúdo de funções é muito utilizado no desenvolvimento dessas disciplinas. Também foram detectadas as maiores deficiências, por parte dos alunos, em relação aos pré-requisitos de conteúdos da Matemática.
