Previous issue date: 2007 === The research introduces as main objective to investigate the conception of reminiscence and also its possible implications in Plato’s theory of knowledge. This implies: a) to analyse what the soul is in Plato; b) to analyse the argument of reminiscence used as justification of the soul immortality; c) to work with hypothesis that reminiscence is used to show virtue’s unity; d) to demonstrate that reminiscence is an attempt of theoric justification, used by Plato, working as the reason of his Theory of Ideas. === A pesquisa apresenta como objetivo principal investigar o conceito da reminiscência (anámnêsis), bem como suas possíveis implicações na teoria do conhecimento de Platão. Isto implica: a) analisar o que é alma (psychê) em Platão; b) analisar o argumento da reminiscência utilizado como justificativa da imortalidade (athánatos) da psychê; c) trabalhar com a hipótese de que a reminiscência serve para mostrar a unidade da Virtude (Aretê); d) Demonstrar ser a reminiscência uma tentativa de justificativa teórica, utilizada por Platão, servindo como fundamento de sua Teoria (Theôría) das Idéias (Idéai).
