Therefore, this work begins with the study of the origins of childhood, by relating the rise of literature for children with the history of narrative and poetry for children in Brazil and Rio Grande do Sul. Later on, the concept of poetry and the specificity of children's poetry is studied, as well as the corpus of themes and trends that moves the young reader. From the theoretical reference, the selection and analysis of the poems listed in the corpus of works is done. Then, as a result of the research, it is presented a anthology of poems, which is enclosed. This selection is based on theoretical studies and resulted in a total of 48 poems, divided into six thematic trends. Also enclosed, there is a list of pieces of children’s poetry written in Rio Grande do Sul, organized by date of publication, author, place of publication and publisher. === O trabalho intitulado Poesia infantil no Rio Grande do Sul tem por objetivo levantar os poemas infantis no Estado, bem como os autores que se dedicaram a escrever para o público infantil, de modo a organizar um catálogo exaustivo dessa literatura. Para tanto, o trabalho inicia com o estudo do surgimento da infância, estabelecendo uma relação com o aparecimento da produção literária infantil e com a história da narrativa e da poesia infantil no Brasil e no Rio Grande do Sul. Em seguida, são tratados conceitos de poesia e especificidade da poesia infantil. Finalmente estuda-se o corpus da pesquisa por tendências temáticas e seus efeitos no leitor. A partir do referencial teórico, faz-se a seleção e a análise dos poemas elencados das obras do corpus e, em seguida, apresenta-se uma antologia de poemas em anexo. Tal seleção baseia-se nos estudos realizados no referencial teórico; foi selecionado um total de 48 poemas, divididos em seis tendências temáticas. Em novo anexo, apresentam-se listas das obras encontradas de poesia infantil produzidas no Rio Grande do Sul, organizadas segundo data de publicação, autor, local de edição e editora.
