| Summary: | The aim of master‘s thesis is to evaluate the influence of investments on structural changes of labour market in the town of Šiauliai and confirm or deny the hypothesis that direct foreign and material investments have considerable influence on structural changes of labour market in Šiauliai, helping to create new working places, reduce the level of unemployment. An exhaustive analysis of assumptions defining possitive and negative influence of investments on labour market is presented in the first part of the thesis. The tendencies of changes of structural indicators in labour market, direct foregn and material investments are compared with the same tendencies in Lithuania in the analytical part of the thesis. The analysis is based on econometric and statistic data and the hypothesis that direct foreign and material investments mostly positively influence the change of structural indicaors in labour market is denied.
