Summary:This thesis equivalent project involved the development, implementation, and evaluation of a workshop and training manual on the subject of Logical Framework Analysis (LFA) as part of an international development project in Russia. The goal of this project was to introduce and make LFA comprehensible to overseas implementing agencies. Research and theory from social sciences and adult education were used in the project's development and a scientific qualitative approach was employed. Procedures included a review of relevant literature and Internet sites, personal communication with subject matter experts in the fields of adult education, international development, and logical framework analysis; pre and post Workshop communication with Workshop participants and reflection on personal experience gained from working for seven years on a project in Russia. I chose a qualitative approach because I believed it would be most helpful in planning the workshop as well as in providing a richer understanding of learners' attitudes toward the theory and practice of logical framework analysis. Based on the completion of an LFA by each of the working groups, feedback received and personal observations made during the workshop, I believe that the goals of this learning activity were accomplished.
