Description
Summary:This thesis is a description of educational retardation, or academic underachievement, in a stable, rural, Indian community in Quebec. It is a result of the writer's interest in the problem of educational retardation as distinct from mental retardation. The opportunity for first-hand study of this community developed during three and a half years' service as teacher in the one-room Oka Country Indian Day School.
