Summary:This study aims to understand the impact that student engagement with student center has on the student perception of the student center community and sense of belonging on campus. Finding community on a college campus is one of the most impactful experiences a student will have in their academic career and has far reaching implications on their success. The student center community is defined as the students, staff, and faculty that utilize or whose organizations are housed within the student center facilities. This study explores the concept of systems theory in relation to community and engagement, and their connection to students' sense of belonging on campus. Key findings of this research show the student center is a set of individual and organizational networks, there is a desire for increased engagement with the community, and the student perception of the student center community is connected to their sense of belonging on campus.--Author's abstract
