Education This study focused on students in two-year technical colleges in the State of Ohio and their perceptions and attitudes about the Army ROTC Program and the introduction of this program into the two-year college curriculum. Recent high school graduates, who were enrolled as freshmen and sophomores at the twenty-two technical colleges, were asked to reveal their own perceptions about the Military Science Program by way of a questionnaire. The 80-item questionnaire was developed and primarily composed of statements about the Army ROTC, comments and guidance from faculty and administrators, Department of the Army publications, texts and other scholarly publications. A Likert-type scale was used and data received from eliqible subjects was coded for computerized analyses. Using the Mermac Questionnaire Analysis Frequency Distribution a 8O-item variable analysis was conducted for all twenty-two schools. A percentage analysis was then conducted to determine not only the Agreement or Disaqreement on all 80 variables, but the total acceptance or rejection of the 80 variables by the 917 respondents. It was concluded that the students in the twenty-two colleges used in this study were generally supportive in affirming the majority of the questionnaire items. This led to the conclusion that these subjects did perceive a need for the Military Science Program to be incorporated into the technical college curriculum. It was also concluded that these subjects perceived the technical college campus as being a conducive environment for introduction of the ROTC.
